Geraldine Howley
Executive Chair of GEM Programme
Geraldine Howley previously head one of the largest social housing providers in Yorkshire and Humber with nearly 22,600 homes. Geraldine led Incommunities through a £400 million modernisation and new build programme, focused on the organisation’s vision of improving people’s lives.
A key priority for Geraldine is to invest in the ‘talent of tomorrow’ through the GEM programmes.
Geraldine is a Chartered Surveyor and became President of the Chartered Institute of Housing (2015/16). She is Chair of the NHF Y&H Chief Executive Forum, Vice Chair of the Governing Board of the CIH, Chair of the International Housing Partnership and is co-founder of the GEM Programme. In 2017 she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to housing, young people and the local community. Geraldine is also a Doctor of the University of Bradford.
Geraldine attends all of the GEM shacks and in the driving force in creating the unique opportunities and experiences that we are able to offer GEMs.
