Chair of GEM Programme and Group Chief Executive, Incommunities
Geraldine Howley heads one of the largest social housing providers in Yorkshire and Humber with nearly 22,600 homes. Geraldine has led Incommunities through a £400 million modernisation and new build programme.
The group’s 1,050 staff deliver services focused on the organisation’s vision of improving people’s lives. A key priority is to invest in the ‘talent of tomorrow’ through initiatives such as the award winning apprenticeship and GEM programmes.
Geraldine is a Chartered Surveyor and became President of the Chartered Institute of Housing (2015/16). She is Chair of the NHF Y&H Chief Executive Forum, Vice Chair of the Governing Board of the CIH, Chair of the International Housing Partnership and is co-founder of the GEM Programme. In 2017 she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to housing, young people and the local community. Geraldine is also a Doctor of the University of Bradford.
